Our Story
Nestled in the olive-rich lands of Magoula, Sparta,
the Cokinos family continues a tradition steeped in
heritage and craftsmanship.
Our groves produce
some of the finest Athenolia, Koroneiki, and
Kalamata olives,
cultivated with care and
hand-harvested at their peak.
For over 4,500 years, olives have been central to Mediterranean life. From food and skincare to spiritual offerings, the olive tree was seen as sacred. The Greeks believed the goddess Athena gifted them the olive tree, and Homer famously called olive oil "liquid gold."
The story begins in the late 1800s, when Constantine Gus Vlahos left Greece for a new life in Houston, Texas. Generations later, his descendant Michael Cokinos returned to Sparta to revive a family legacy—bringing ancient roots into the modern world through sustainable olive cultivation.
